I am appointed as a research assistant under the Land degradation, Desertification and Restoration research group at the North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus. The position entails assisting Dr. Arnim Marquart and Prof. Klaus with a biodiversity project conducted in the Kalahari region. More specifically, I assisted with the project’s fieldwork in April 2021, and are busy conducting statistical analysis and assisting with the writing of manuscripts. We provide insight and understanding of vegetation response patterns under two land use types (game and cattle farms) and bush control treatments across distances from artificial water points.
