Ms. Jadia Hoffman

I am a Junior Ecologist with experience in the arid areas of South Africa, specifically the Southern Kalahari and Bushmanland. I am passionate about the conservation of our unique arid areas and finding sustainable environmental management practices.

I am currently completing my Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences under the supervision of Prof Klaus Kellner, Mr Christiaan Harmse and Mrs Chrizette Neethling. My master’s degree investigates the recruitment success of Boscia albitrunca in the southern Kalahari with the aim at improving restoration. This important species contributes to the ecological value of the Southern Kalahari and are being destroyed in large quantities with limited recruitment success recorded.
