Dr. Kerstin Wiegand is a professor of Ecosystem Modelling, at the University of Goettingen, Germany and one of the principle investigators on the IDESSA program.

Prof Dr Kerstin Wiegand is the head of Ecosystem Modelling, at the University of Goettingen, Germany. Her research interests are in the fields of spatial ecology and biocomplexity with a more specific focus on biodiversity under global change, savanna ecology, population viability analysis and the population dynamics of Acacia trees. She is one of the principle investigators on the IDESSA program.
