Completed my Secondary Education in the then Transkei at Daliwonga Senior Secondary School in 1983.

Was employed by the then Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Nature Conservation in Transkei that offered me scholarship to pursue my studies in Forestry

Completed my National Forestry Diploma in 1989 at Fort Cox College of Agriculture and Forestry and then proceeded to the University of Stellenbosch where i registered for the B.Sc in Forestry from 1991 till 1996

Worked at UMZIMKULU Forests in KwaZulu Natal and then joined Community Forestry in King William’s town in 1998 and later joined Indigenous Forest Management in Knysna Forests and in charge of the Diepwalle Forests.

In 2002 was requested to join the Head Office staff to drive Participatory Forest Management (PFM) unit as a PFM Co ordinator. This programme was funded by both British Department for International Development (DFID) and DANIDA.
